Near the upper right of the web page and directly under the words 'Get
Involved' enter your five or nine-digit Zip Code. This will give
you the names of your Senators and Representative.
At the left of the vertical gray bar you will see the names of your
Senators and Representative.
Click on the first Senator's link.
Below the picture of the Senator or Representative click on 'Visit
Official Web site'.
On the Senator's or Representative's official page click on 'How to
Contact Me', or 'Contact', or similar.
Enter the information that identifies you as a direct constituent of
that Senator or Representative.
On the Subject Line of the form use the drop-down menu to choose 'Jobs'
or 'Small Business', 'Business', or something similar. There may
be a second box to enter a more specific Subject. If so, enter
'Small Business Jobs Bill', 'Jobs Bill', or 'HR 5297'.
Highlight the blue text below, right click on the highlighted text, and
on the popup menu that appears click Copy. Within the upper left
corner of the form's large Comment box, right click, and from the popup
menu click Paste.
Modify the wording in the form as you wish. Be sure to change the
name, city, and state at the bottom of the text, if you wish to include
those. Otherwise, delete them.
Repeat the steps above for your other Senator and Representative.
Congratulations, you have just done
something to make a constructive difference in the direction of the
United States economy.
As your constituent, it
is extremely important to me that you support passage of any
legislation that encourages job creation, including the Small Business
Jobs Bill (HR 5297).
The Small Business Jobs Act will
help banks make more small business loans and will provide important
tax breaks for small businesses so that they can recover from this
crippling recession and lead the way to jobs and economic growth.
As a small business owner I know
that more than 60% of new jobs are created by small businesses.
Small businesses have suffered
great difficulty in obtaining access to the capital that they must have
to retain and hire employees, expand inventory, purchase real estate,
construct new buildings, and buy equipment.
Please support all legislation
that includes improved access to capital for the nation's small
businesses.
NOW is the time for
action. I urge you and the entire Senate and House to act now to
restart the flow of credit to small businesses and to encourage job
creation.
Please support and
vote YES on the Small Business Jobs Bill (H.R. 5297).
Thank you.
